DNF @ 35%. Maybe I’m feeling slumpy? For the life of me. I cannot focus on this…
This series has been a roller coaster. I didn’t like book 2 at all, but really enjoyed book 3. I’m beginning to think book 3 was an anomaly? I enjoy this authors writing style and the way she describes the world her characters live in. Her Heroines are all working women, who value education and self sufficiency, which is refreshing. However, there personalities are kind of the worst. The Heroes in book one and two where cruel and shallow. The one person I’ve liked throughout all three books was Hastings, the Hero in book 3, and he’s the reason I love that book. Maybe a different series by this author will have better energy?
