Why I'm No Longer Talking to White People about Race by Reni Eddo-Lodge

4.0

A fascinating, unapologetic, oftentimes brutal look into the reality of racism in a particularly British context. Whilst there's obviously the odd point that sits uncomfortably with me as a white woman and the heaviness of the content made it difficult to get through on occasion, I think I recognise that I at least have the privilege of taking a break from reading the book; the majority of black people suffering any form or manifestation of racism can't afford that same privilege of putting it down whenever it gets too much which I think in itself resonated really powerfully with me.
