Fruits Basket, Vol. 14 by Natsuki Takaya

4.0

 4 stars.

Loved the reveal that Yuki sees Tohru more as a mother figure than as a crush. I think it was done really well and made a lot of sense for them. I also like that he is opening up more to people and building connections and bonds with the student council. It makes me happy that after always putting some distance between himself and other people, he can be a little silly and lighthearted with them.

We also got to see and learn Isuzu's backstory which was very sad and upsetting. The children of zodiac all have such traumatic stories and upbringings that it's not hard at all to see how they became the people they are currently. I'm still a bit confused on how the curse will be broken and also what Shigure seems to be aiming for.
