Alora Briarwood spends a lot of time with a fake smile on her face. After so many years of standing behind her dad and being the perfect daughter of a politician, she decides to go to college at HEAU. What she didn’t expect was to come face to face with her high school bully: Malik Ravenwell.
Ever since seeing Alora during their senior year of high school, Malik has decided to make her life as rough as possible. His reasons are due to some horrific past life experiences that connect them together. Only Alora has no idea why Malik is acting this way towards her. Now that they’re in college though, Alora has decided she’s had enough and is standing up to him. When they start running into each other more often, it becomes obvious that they have real chemistry and perhaps they don’t find each other as revolting as they originally thought.
This was my first Pru Schuyler book, but it was very good! I love a good bully romance which is one of the tropes of the book. I also love an enemies to lovers book as well, so I knew I had to read this book when I saw the tropes of this book.
Some tropes include: college romance, bully romance, hockey romance, enemies to lovers and he falls first. Some tropes of this book involve mentions of child de*th, abuse of a child (happens to MMC), SA that appears on page with description. Please be aware of these triggers and take care of yourself.
Thank you to Author Pru Schuyler for providing me with an e-arc in exchange for an honest review.
