To All the Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han

1.0

Fair warning, I hate modern romances so I'm probably biased. I like romance as a side story but not if it takes over.I read this because my friend and I were doing a sort of book exchange.

I hated this book. I thought the characters were shallow and jerky and there was no depth to the story. I especially hated Lara-Jean and Peter Kavinsky. They were just using each other and then were offended when the other got what they wanted.

Lara-jean was a whiny spoiled brat who never grows up in my opinion. Also why would she keep the letters!? It's one thing to write them and then dispose of them, but to keep them in a box for how many years! What was the point?

Margot was a little obnoxious to me. She dumped the boy she loved and then was offended when he fell in love with someone else.

Peter Kavinsky was horrible. How could he expect her to want to be anywhere near him after what he did. At the same time I don't know what she expected when she started 'dating'c him.

Josh was kind of sweet but really he kissed her when he knew she was dating!

I did like Kitty for the majority of the book (until I found out she sent the letters). She was cute in a bratty, little sister sort of way. But how jerky she would have to be to send out someones love letters.

I found the whole book without depth or growth.
