Twisted Love by Ana Huang
3.0

We need to have a discussion about romance books and why they have this incessant need to make red flag men into love interests. Don't get me wrong, I understand wanting a partner that will fight through it all for you but it really only works in fantasy world. No CEO of a CONSTRUCTION COMPANY (that apparently makes millions or more) who is a genius prodigy adult should be threatening another person with murder just because someone tried to ask out the FMC on a date.

I can see why this series blew up, it's well written (not the content so much as I'll get to that later, but the actual flow of the writing style) and it feeds into the novella feel of **insert here some plotline that doesn't totally make sense but is enough to keep you on your toes, gasp here moment** from what you find on TV. But I can't in good faith give this a higher rating because of the inconsistentancy issues and just overall plot holes.

This was fun to listen to, the characters grow on you and it makes you want to come back for more even if it's kinda a big bowl of mess plot soup. It's not as horrible as some of the other books I've listened to, you can tell there was actually some editing that was done and finer points polished up a bit.
