I think giving this book more than 2 stars would be a disservice to my experience reading 70% of it. The last 30% were okay-ish, didn’t hate it but also didn’t love it.
Honestly if you want to read this book for the spicy, you might as well read those chapters and go on your merry way. The plot isn’t worth it.
I liked Leon (mmc), his chapters were definitely my favorites, I liked to read him talking about his home (yes, hell), I liked his backstory and just liked him in general. There wasn’t much development or anything memorable about him though (or any of the characters).
I hated Rae (fmc). She was… how do I put it… too naive? too annoying? too fixated on making all the wrong decisions? yeah, all of the above. Usually, if I dislike the FMC I will dislike the book and I fear this was one of those situations. The way everything in the book could’ve been avoided if she just LISTENED bothered me so much.
Again, I didn’t despise everything about the book. There were some “fun” moments but I still wouldn’t recommend.
