I had high hopes based on the title, but sadly, I didn’t really like it. It’s a classic folktale retelling, but Vasilisa and Baba Yaga actually didn’t interact very much, neither is a particularly complex character, and Vasilisa ends up married at the end because the tzar took one look at her and wanted to marry her , so this is not a version I’d use for introducing children to Vasilisa—or Baba Yaga for that matter.
