The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
5.0
The story of a young Dorian Gray who gets his portrait painted, then realizes he will never be as young as that picture ever again. So he makes a wish to stay young forever in return for his soul. It seems like a great idea at the time, but as time goes by everyone around him grows older while he stays young. He comes to find the painting taking on a life, so he must hide it. It’s an amazing novel of what it means to stay forever young, and how it may not be the best choice. Even written in the 19 century it still has a lot of value today. The novel is short and sweet that gets to the point without all the confusing plot twists.
