After finding an obituary for one of her late husband’s associates (known only via his name in the black book of useful people), Mrs. Pargeter attends the funeral, only to be warned off any contact with the widow. Naturally intrigued, she and Mason begin investigating, as no one seems to know the dead man, or what he did for Mr. Pargeter.

Interesting and convoluted, a quick but fun read.
