Feels Like Home by Melissa Grace

4.0

I’m a little late to this series, but you can bet your butt that I will be picking the Midnight in Dallas series up. While this is the fourth book in this series, I didn’t feel too left out of what happened in the other books. I definitely think it would’ve given me a better experience, but that’s what rereads are for.

This was a cute friends to lovers romance, add some spice and forced proximity and we have the perfect concoction of a cute romance book on our hands.

While I loved watching Dallas and Katie explore their feelings for each other, I can’t express how much I loved the mental health representation. A lot of this book portrays Katie’s struggle to find a doctor who listens to her chronic pain and to find a diagnosis for why she feels the way she does. And my beautiful golden retriever, Dallas always attached to her hip to help her face her new reality every step of the way.

Coming from someone who has no experience with chronic pain illness, this was a reality check so I loved seeing the representation and taking in the learning experience of this.
