Buddy Read with Denise Palma…we came out looking like this:
SO glad I had a dual edition of these books because a) MAJOR CLIFFHANGER after book one and b) SO MUCH HAPPENES I JUST DEVOURED THEM!
This was slow starter for me. Very typical alpha male bad boy…bordering on cheesy with the dialogue and curtness. Doe is what intrigued me to keep going. I wanted to know her story and her secrets and what happens to her after she finds herself in this surreal crazy ass situation with King. By this point I was hooked and then the book just TOOK off……It has SO MUCH GOING ON! Twists and turns…it was just NUTS!
I like to dangle my feet into some dark romance from time to time…but this felt like a cannon ball into the deep end! Maybe not for some, but for me it had its moments of gut-wrenching freak-outs! I cried…kind of a lot….and I was REALLY stressed out.
Which of course makes this a GREAT read in my opinion. It hit me hard and where it counts and took me completely by surprise!
