The Serpent and the Wings of Night by Carissa Broadbent

5.0

This has been on my shelf for a long time and now I can’t believe I waited so long to read it. I thought there was such a great balance of everything in this book, which was a nice palette cleanser from some of the other fantasy romance (heavy on the romance) novels out there. Some parts may be “cut and paste” from other popular fandoms but I think the way it was meshed together gave it its uniqueness. It was also very well written; I didn’t feel like there were info dumps like you get so often with fantasy novels that are trying to world build.
