I so wanted to like this book... Not only is the physical book gorgeous but the story was intriguing and pulled in one of my favourite story elements: time travel. Unfortunately, this book was painful for me to get through (and in truth I ended up skimming the last 75 pages because I just could not do it anymore). The characters were flat, one-dimensional, and whiny. The plot of the story was convoluted and unnecessary. The romance did not happen naturally. All in all, I was really disappointed by this book.
These are just my opinions, however. I feel like I might be in a minority here because a lot of people seemed to love this book! I guess it was just not for me...
