There were a few characters that I really felt did not need to even be in here. It felt weird to have Avery get more chapters after the whole thing blew over, there was no real point. I get wanting to wrap up her story, or maybe it was just showing that the Jar just kept bringing people together and pushing them to better themselves but she barely even heard about the Jar so it didn’t feel like it. I think my rating would be higher if it wasn’t for my own personal bias about the fact that the person responsible for Baz dying got zero justice served IMO. I known it’s realistic, I know that happens in life, but it made my blood boil. He was a CHILD he deserved justice. Also the fact that it felt like all the “growth” that Henry had was instantly thrown in the trash because he does exactly what caused all his issues in the first place all over again in one of this last chapters that even brought him up. The other characters grew, they changed, they came together and it was honestly a really really beautiful story. I wouldn’t read it again, but would def pick up other novels by this author and recommend this one to anyone who was looking for something to read.
