Lots of action as usual and I loved catching up with the Bas & Maldynado. I enjoyed new character Ashara. However what made this book for me (and lifted it from a 3 star to a 4) was the appearance of Amaranthe & Sicarius half-way through the novel. -I LOVE them.
One little quibble - I do like a fast paced, action packed story however this one had almost too much action. I would have preferred a little more character interaction, especially between Ashara & Bas and of course I wanted even more Amaranthe & Sicarius. I know it wasn't their story and they were in it plenty for supporting characters but I just love them so much.
