The Witch's Daughter by Paula Brackston

4.0

I enjoyed this a lot. Probably more of a 3.5. it was an interesting telling with the original flashback and I enjoyed the 2nd flashback the most. It was just spooky and tense and then the reveal of Gideon kind of ridiculous but also fun. After this it felt like the story was trying to rush to the end so it lost some of its ability to capture me in the story. Both the last couple parts in 2007 with Tegan and the last flashback felt like it moved more quickly which caused it to lose some depth. Overall it was a fun witchy ride.
