A House with Good Bones by T. Kingfisher

dark hopeful mysterious medium-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix

3.0

I thought the main character's near-constant witty interjections were a little annoying and removed any sense of thrill or horror from the story and atmosphere. This book is great for someone who wants a little taste of horror but is a little too fearful to go head first into a terrifying ghost story. It is not great, however, if you are looking for something that will chill you to the bone.
