This is the second book of the series and it picks up a little after the first book. This book was so much better. Maybe it’s because I was already familiar with most of the characters and setting. The focus on this book was Rachel Washington, the town’s omega. Not only do we get to see glimpses of the town reeling and healing from the aftermath of the madness and mind control of its previous leaders, we get to see Rachel soar, get stronger and find her place.
