This should be required reading for any museum studies graduate student. Bunch is humble and gracious but also tells it like it is in the way only a New Jersey native can. I have never seen a better account of the mundane realities of museum work. You will learn about the ups and downs of creating a landmark institution- prying open locked offices, cultivating donor relationships, combing garages and attics for artifacts, debating building materials and dealing with construction delays.
