Brightly Woven by Alexandra Bracken
3.0
I think I've been spoiled by Robin McKinley. Her world building in the fantasy genre is exquisite. I never feel lost in her books.
That is not the case with "Brightly Woven." Alexandra Bracken has a fantastic story to tell, but the execution left something to be desired. If I hadn't been so excited by the story, I probably wouldn't have been so bothered by the poor writing. I still enjoyed the book - I was just disappointed in the lost potential. It could have become one of my new favorites but instead was only okay.
