I'd watched season 1 of the tv show so it felt very familiar reading this, but the weird part was that I often couldn't remember if something was familiar because of the show or because it had a lot of the same vibes as Babel-17. Maybe it's just my lack of experience with spaceship sci fi, but it often felt very similar to Babel-17.
