Minus one star for talking shit on Pokémon Go. Minus another star for not being accessible enough for me. Minus one more star because three stars feels too generous.
The chapters are really long and the writing is clunky. This book took me forever to read because I was never excited to pick it up. I don’t know if she was going for longest-five-paragraph-essay vibes but that’s what it felt like.
She also pulled frequently from Robin Wall Kimmerer’s “Braiding Sweetgrass” which is the best book ever, so literally just read that instead.
