I’ve been wanting to re read this for a while for some reason, but I think reading it too close to my ftr made the experience slightly less enjoyable. I knew everything that was going to happen and it was like I was waiting for scenes instead of really soaking it all in. I still think it’s my favourite emily Henry book (I haven’t read her others in years so what do I know). And I can’t bring myself to lower this rating.

I actually felt more connected to Daphne this time around, I don’t know what it was. I felt like I could understand and relate to her more.

Still loved miles. And what I said in my original review is so real. Except I would word it a bit differently now lol

Reading this only a few months apart from when I first read it showed me how much I can change in such a short amount of time. I love that you take something different from a book each time you read it because it’s a reflection of you!

Anyways, needed this! Back to studying 😎

June 2024 (5 stars):
Every time i finish an emily henry book (at least her last three), I just feel sad. Because I know I won’t read a good romance book like it for a while. There is just something about her writing that literally pulls me into the world every single time. And that is sooo rare for a romance book for me now. I devoured this book, i couldn’t put it down.

I’ve been wanting to read this one since it was announced but was too busy with school once it was released. Then I saw mixed reviews so I was SCARED and put it off. But ms emily never lets me down ☝️ im so glad I picked this up, I loved this so much. It was the perfect amount of everything. Reading it literally felt like watching a rom com. Sometimes you just need that brain rot fluff 😋

I was going to deduct a star because daphne pissed me off sometimes, especially at the conflict (but whatever, I get it, the characters are flawed and their actions reflect their flaws blah blah blah) but I just loved miles so much (and the story obv) so it made up for it. Genuinely, if all men were like miles, maybe I would feel more enticed to want to be in a relationship with one (lol). His character was just so cute, i love him 🥲 I usually do love the way she writes her mmc’s though.

Them confessing that their eachother’s bestfriends 😭 so cute

Anyways, I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and I wish all books made me feel this way (but I also don’t, because then I would never get anything done because I’d just be reading)

Wait I just found this emoji 🫷 I’m obsessed. 🫷talk to the hand
