Interesting reading, worth a read during your seven year itch. But I really hated his writing style - I think he was striving for a 3rd grade level. The stories of how his love languages theory completely turned around marriages were a little pat. And don't get me started on the annoying gender stereotypes. Definitely pop psych, no evidence to back it up whatsoever, but it's still good food for thought.
