I expected little, especially with the title, but was pleasantly surprised by the rich world-building. There were a few parts that felt a little Mary Sue-ish but I think the rest made up for it. Also, pleasantly surprised by the dynamics that stepped a little more than the norm for the genre - did not see her setting Silas up to be a sub in any way.
