 Partner in Crime
Joanna Brady #10
by J.A. Jance
4 out of 5 stars

When a participant in the witness protection program from the state of Washington is found dead in Arizona, Joanna Brady and J.P. Beaumont team up to solve the case.

I wasn't sure I liked J.P. Beaumont at first, but I wound up really interested in his character. I am looking forward to reading the series that is about his cases. J.A. Jance does a great job at character development, so I am especially looking forward to reading more about his backstory.

Trigger warning: animal death
J.A. Jance wrote this scene especially well. She captured the emotion and handled the situation with sensitivity.

My question, again: WHY did Joanna marry her husband? All he does is whine about her being gone.
