I like how the author slowly built up the suspense for the thing that happened at the end (not the sex thing but also kinda that). I am definitely ordering the next books in this series and am considering reading them on Hoopla in the meantime.
It was odd to me that she kept describing the characters as "male" and "masculine" like it was fine at first but then just got repetitive. I did enjoy the D/s aspects though. Obviously none of this is how things in real life are practiced, but the checking in and the actual discussion of a safeword was nice. I'm looking forward to learning more about Embry.
