Great story and different enough from the TV show in terms of who the characters are and how they act. I could easily imagine a very different world than on Apple TV+, but some things were the same.
Less diverse, though, than Apple's version. Some situations aren't very believable as a woman. Politicised identities either are not named or the internal oppressive dynamics aren't stated, as in how has various forms of oppression existedinside the silo through a Western history aside from the central class allegory.
Emotionally, I was pretty gripped and could ignore most political aspects.

Graphic: Death, Gun violence, Suicidal thoughts, Violence, Police brutality
Moderate: Animal death, Confinement, Death, Infertility, Mental illness, Injury/Injury detail, Classism
