The Hidden Life of Trees: What They Feel, How They Communicate by Peter Wohlleben
challenging
informative
reflective
slow-paced
3.0
This was a super interesting non-fiction book about trees. I learned so many fun facts that I’ve been sharing with everyone in my life. Who ever thought trees could be so interesting?! The book could become a bit dry, but I read it slowly, one short chapter at a time. And in those bite sized quantities, it was a fun and interesting read.
I’ll leave you with a few teasers:
1. What do you call the root and fungi system in a forest? The wood wide web.
2. How quickly can trees communicate through their roots? 1/3 inch per minute. And yes, trees CAN indeed communicate.
Hope that piques your interest!
