Story Genius: How to Use Brain Science to Go Beyond Outlining and Write a Riveting Novel by Lisa Cron

1.0

I didn't finish. I did skim through the rest to see if there was anything besides the pat, simplistic advice to write from character rather than plot, but there isn't. There are examples from her author friend. But she's flat out wrong about some things, and since she's a literary agent and not an author or literary scholar, it's not surprising that she doesn't know enough examples that fly counter to her personal preferences and disrupt her theories.

This really pisses me off because it's a waste of money, and I really did want to read a book about how brain science might inform your story or character building.
