Not a huge fan of this type of first person narrative. It felt as it I was being spoken to as opposed to being a passive observer of the story.
Even for a Novella it seemed incredibly rushed and full of repetition.
Overall okay, would have liked to read a less rushed version that had a polished feel. This felt like a Wattpad book without an editor.
Edit: After reading the other two books in this collection I feel cheated. Books two and three are good, Cupcakes was actually so good I want more. Give this one a miss. They are all entirely stand alone and this one won’t be missed.
