This is a fun little story- sharp, exacting, and a bit insightful. I read it in less than an hour. In it, a wealthy, worldly, strange girl attracts the interest of the media and publishers when her mother disappears. This short story encompasses parts of the book she writes in the aftermath. If you're uncultured like me, be prepared to look up some haughty English, Arabic, and French words. Enjoy!
Graphic: Abandonment and Classism
Moderate: Kidnapping, Death of parent, and Alcohol
Minor: Gaslighting
