“This isn’t some fantasy book! It’s my life people are dying!”

Coven is a fun read! Great for getting into the fall. It’s my first graphic novel in a longtime and it didn’t disappoint.

The artwork is amazing 😻 and I quickly fell into Emsy’s life. Part of the reason I loved this queer paranormal young adult graphic novel. It’s about a 16 year old who has spent her life in California. She’s been surfing and great on the waves, but her elemental power 🔥 is unpracticed, and unpredictable. However, someone murdering witches in her family’s Coven, she must leave California, move to a small town, and learn to wield her power quickly. Or she too might find herself in a position of grave danger. But some questions in Emsy’s life were left unanswered. I hope there will there be a second book. 🤞

Thank you Penguin Teen & Bookish first for the gifted graphic novel.
