This book is brutal. BRUTAL. Beautiful, devastatingly poetic, layered thick with meaning. Riveting but also heartbreaking. Difficult but like a really genius piece of music that makes you feel it deep every time, so you have to be strategic about when you ingest it. Puts you in your FEELS. Highly recommend this title (even with all that emotional baggage).
For fans of making life's difficulties poetic. For people who walk down the street to an imaginary soundtrack.
Salvage the Bones was another Literati club selection (February), so I moved a bit out of my comfort zone (that's been happening a lot lately, I'm a fan). This won awards. Not just awards but AWARDS (#NationalBookAward holla!). Trigger warning!
