I won an ARC of this book from the publisher. Beastly Bones picks up a few months later from where the first book left off. Abigail Rook is still Jackaby's assistant on the field. Seeking answers to murders without ordinary explanations. Animal massacres and other paranormal elements.
I have to say that I enjoyed it much better than the first book. I suppose because there were some elements that were not as prominent as they were in the first book, in my opinion. I love Jackaby; I think the detective is brilliantly created and would love to read more about him.
