Embers in Our Past by Stefanie Castro
5.0
Embers in Our Past was everything I was hoping for Abby & Clay and more. 💚
If you read Embers in The Outfield, you knew something special was coming for this divorced couple and Stefanie Castro delivered all the feels with this one.
The way Clay loved Abby regardless of the pain and hurt he endured at her hand was nothing short of amazing. My heart absolutely broke for them as they both tried to navigate their relationship ending and infertility struggles. When they should have come together and worked through things together, Abby left him to heal on his own. She thought she was doing right by him, but couldn't have been more wrong.
The connection these two shared and the push and pull they had with one another was written so beautifully. I adored how Clay gave Abby space even though he wanted nothing more than to reclaim her. She made me want to knock some sense into her a few times, so to witness her growth made my heart so happy for her and for Clay.
Their passion and chemistry was a 5 alarm fire! Good thing Clay was a firefighter and knew just how to put out that burn. Abby is a lucky woman that's all I'll say.
Embers in Our Past was a rip your heart out and squeeze it back to life second chance romance that was, at its core, so full of hope and love and your heart knowing where home is.
I am so in love with this series and can't wait for more.
