This book made me live through a storm of emotions✨

I remember in the beginning I desperately wished there were more of Slade/Rip&Auren moments. But soon I realized that it was still the time for Auren to find her true self, her courage to face the truth and her fears. Gleam is focused exactly on that, on Auren's path of self-development and -growth. And she does it all on her own, both mentally and physically. Well, there definitely was help in the form of encouraging words from her now friends, those that made her see right through the pretty covers, but I think the biggest part here was her own strength and wish to fight, to feel free.

Closer to the end, I gotta say, I was not complaining about the amount of Slade-Auren scenes😏

And this is the book where I feel in love with the Wrath and the (good) characters in general:)

The ending though it almost ruined me. First, I was a crying mess because of nothing good going on, and frankly, I was scared of what was to come. Then I was the crying all over again because it seemed the situation was beginning to resolve! Only, not quite... because now we've gotta see what happens next😬🫣
