I really liked the characters in both timelines. It was interesting to learn more about the Vanderbilt family and I loved picturing the Biltmore and mountains of Asheville while reading. I enjoyed the mystery of the veil. The story held my attention from the beginning. Loved Julia’s relationship with her grandmother!
