The Witches' Blade by A.K. Mulford

I adored the first book in this series, but The Witches Blade blew me away. I completely fell in love with the characters throughout this read (both new and previous from The High Mountain Court) and the storyline had me so emotionally hooked.
I also really appreciate the tidy and hopeful endings to each book which was a surprisingly nice change of pace. The lack of an intense cliff hanger between each book is refreshing - Mulford gives you just the right amount of open plot to keep you interested and desperate to find out what happens next, without leaving you utterly devastated and angry about the wait for the next release.
What started off as a bit of a filler whilst awaiting other releases, this series has quickly become one of my favourite unexpected gems!
