Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston
5.0

5th complete reread and the HOLD is STILL THERE. I will cry every 4 pages and laugh every 7. I will die on the hill that this book's target demographic was literally just me. Reading my first review, I was embarrassing but the way how I feel about the book has literally not changed.

The way I haven't stopped grinning since I finished this book. It was disgustingly adorable and freakishly hilarious. I was grinningly stupidly from start to end. Every single issue from race to monarchy to sexuality to attempted sexual assault to many more issues were handled very cautiously and imo realistically. To experience Alex and Henry sheepishly and madly fall in love has got to be one of my happiest reading experiences of this year so far (which is embarrassing as it is) but I genuinely could not have wanted anything different or changed in this story. Nothing says, love like sending each other e-mails with quotes from letters by important figures about missing each other amirite? This book is going to be among my comfort books for sure. I don't know if it's my reading slump talking or the hopeless romantic in me but this book is cheesily fucking cute and I LOVE IT.
