I quite liked this novel as a whole. The characters took some time to grow on me, particularly Piper, but by the end I completely loved her. Piper’s journey into finding herself was perfectly poignant and wonderfully constructed. I try to keep in mind that books such as this are fiction and therefore I should expect the unrealistic scenarios that ensue, however, there were some instances in the novel where I found myself removed from the plot by the absurdity of it all. Despite these lapses, I appreciated the world building of this novel and am very much looking forward to the next installment. I am very interested to see how Hannah’s

story is going to play out, especially with her being in LA. The introduction into the next novel especially helped me to cope with the dread of finishing this one, and I’m excited about what glimpses into the life of Piper and Brendan will be included.
