This was a book I had soft DNF a few months ago! I hadn't read the blurb, with sheer excitement for the concept alone and didn't realise it was a short story collection. I really have to be in the mood for a short story collection, and wasn't enjoying my reading so placed it on hold.
Over the past few days I picked it back up, and it was wonderfully gory in the stickiest of ways. It's not a very explicit type of horror, just bodies melting into jelly, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I do still believe this book could've benefited from being a longer novel but all the stories thread into eachother in such a way that it's enjoyable with longevity too!
