Dragonfly in Amber by Diana Gabaldon
4.0

Okay, officially obsessed with these characters...and that last chapter was CRAY. I'm glad I finally made it to the end because about halfway through the book I honestly thought about giving up. These books contains SO much detail and, what seemed to me to be, useless sub-plots, (one example: the visit to Jaimie's grandfather - the book could've been a chapter or two shorter without this section that didn't advance the plot, in my opinion; another example: almost everything with Master Raymond in Paris...) that I just felt so bored and irritated that I didn't yet know how Claire would return to modern time and what would happen at the Battle of Culloden. The end was worth the mundanity of the middle though! (Also, I have no idea who edits the Kindle versions, but there were way too many spelling errors in the version I read).

Anywho, can't wait to start #3...although I peeked at the table of contents and almost started crying. Why are you so wordy, Ms. Gabaldon?! Also, I hope I learn what happened to Fergus after he left Culloden...

Rating this 3 stars because, while I love Jaimie and Claire (and now Brianna and Roger), I was SO bored for much of the middle and felt it was incredibly tedious and difficult to continue reading.
