Two short but punchy novellas about a sentient human-noid robot that’s thoroughly bored with life and just wants to get its job done.
Expect maybe it cares a little more than it thinks. And it’s a got a secret.
I liked the main character, Murderbot (MB), as a humorous, jaded narrator mostly doing their best but also half-assing a lot of their time around humans.
The books felt like sci-fi (Altered Carbon vibes) but also a little found family with an open ending as to what MB might get into next.
If you like graphic violence, sassy robots and morally gray characters with a penchant for television, you’ll like this duology. Very quick read.
