I've been so tired It took me forever to finish a book that should have taken 4 nights, tops.
You need to have read Railhead to get much out of Black Light Express. That said, it's a fun sci-fi novel with a lot of action and events packed into it. You won't get bored, probably. (This most likely depends on you.) I really enjoyed this novel, which is weird, because second books in series' by Reeve rarely impress me.
A lot of nightmarish things happen in this book, but they aren't dwelt on. This was a minus for me, as I would have liked the implications of these actions to be explored further.
