Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare

5.0

Who doesn't enjoy historical fiction, missed with fighting demons, finding our inner selves and a love triangle with a bad boy and a perfect gentleman?

Anything Cassandra Clare puts out, I'm a huge fan of. She is brilliant at making the characters complex but relatable. She infuses her novels with humor, life lessons, and moments that make me (a proper, functioning adult) sob out loud. Her stories are memorable and stay with you long after you finish the book and I cannot recommend this series enough!

Will Herondale is everyone's bad boy dream - rude as hell, tall, dark and the whole package, who reads (and memorizes!!) novels and poetry. Jem Carstairs is a violin playing gentleman, the kind of man your mother would want you to be with, harboring a dark secret.

And in the middle of it all, there's Tessa Grey, the girl who doesn't really know what she is... (We've all been there). From then, the story takes off, with more characters, development, and an evil villain who isn't as magical and unrealistic as you'd think. Ms Clare touches on politics, beliefs, honors, literature, love, friendship, and family you are not related to but choose for yourself in a loveable series you will not be able to put down!
