2nd Chance [Abridged] by James Patterson

I really let this book sit in my mind for a while. you see, James here likes to add a 1-3 twist minimum to the endings of the books and this one was no differences but I can confidently say that the killer was severely underwhelming and made no sense.
Not to mention there is a very graphic and out of place scene where the killer masturbates to lynched black people. I don't consider this a spoiler because it added nothing to the plot and was just there to be shocking.
I am someone who often believes that any writer can write about anything they want if they put in the time and research to back it up which I don't think Patterson did or has ever done. this series feels like James just sat down with a hat and slips of paper with polarizing and shocking topics to write each book around.
