There were good parts, but I felt like they didn’t last long and I expected a lot more from them. Ex. I wanted to know more about the maid who threw the aborted fetus on the table in front of the man of the house who had cheated on his wife. They built up an expectation that the dead would be more present and inside the house to visit during Christmas, but we get some shadows in the background in the barn?
It also built up an expectation that something would happen at the offermoss, which was an interesting part of the book, but nothing happened?
There are more parts that started good but ended up unexplored in the book, but overall, it was an okay book, kinda meh.
