An enjoyable treat. Overall, the authors did quite well within the limitations of a short story setup. Some stories resonated more with me than others.
A Country for Old Men stands out for me. There is a bittersweet feel and a poignancy where past collides with present. In this, the mystery takes a bit of a backseat to the romance.
Pepper the Crime Lab is also another favourite because any story is always made better by the presence of pets! Also, the story was pretty cute.
